STEM - Science Research Program

The STEM program runs as an accelerated academy. As an academy the program offers small class sizes and individual attention. Students only take classes with other STEM students and all teachers of STEM are free when students are, for tutoring and enrichment activities. It offers career preparation in fields of math, science, medicine, medicinal lab technology and biotechnology. It offers experience in learning engineering principles behind bridge design and computer science applications. Internships are available in medical facilities, colleges and universities. It offers opportunities for scholarships and competition based, hands on research opportunities. Students can apply in both the 8th and 9th grades using High School Application code Q14H. Students with a course average of 85 on all core classes and level 3 or higher on State Exams are given priority ranking. Please check below for the rubric used when ranking. |
